2025 Western Kane Democrats join Dekalb County Dems at Maple Park Fun Fest Parade

This summer Democrats want to make sure that we spread the word that Democrats are in Kane County and we’re here to work on things important to Kane County residence.  We need your help to do that!

• Date: August 30th
• Parade Lineup: 3:30 PM
• Start: 5:15 PM

Here’s what’s involved with planning & logistics:

• Help us promote the event and get people signed up to participate with WKD marchers
• Coordinate with candidates to get them scheduled to march with us
• Communicate important details with other volunteers
• Meet us before the parade starts (3:30 PM) at a our lineup location.
• Purchase items for the parade – candy, etc..
• Assign parade roles to those who volunteer

During the parade serve in 1 or more of the below roles:

• 1 Photographer/video
• 2 Banner holders (per banner)
• 1 American Flag holder
• 2-4 Candy Distributors
• 4 Vehicle Decorators
• 2 Sign Holders per candidate who’s marching
• Issue Sign Holders
• 2 WKD info distributor
• Marchers
